Cookie Policy
What this site stores on your device, why, and how to change your mind. Last updated 21 October 2026.
Most cookie policies are written to be unreadable. This one is not. Below is everything Rankital stores on your device, what it is for, and how to switch it off.
The short version
Nothing optional loads until you accept it. If you decline, or simply ignore the notice, no analytics or advertising script runs at all — not in a reduced form, not anonymously, not at all. The site behaves identically either way.

What a cookie actually is
A small piece of data a website asks your browser to keep. Some are read back by the site itself, some by a third party such as Google or Meta. We also use local storage, which works the same way from your point of view and is covered by everything on this page.
Strictly necessary
These are required for the site to function. They do not track you, and they cannot be switched off without breaking something.
| Name | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
| rankital-cookie-choice | Remembers whether you accepted or declined, so you are not asked again. | Until you clear it |
| rankital-form-sends | Stops the same form being submitted repeatedly within a few minutes. A spam guard, not a tracker. | Minutes |
| rankital-checklist-offer | Remembers that you have already been shown the checklist offer, so it does not reappear on every page. | Until you clear it |
| sb-* (client portal only) | Keeps you signed in to the client portal. Set by our authentication provider, Supabase, and only present if you have an account and have signed in. | Session, renewed while in use |
Analytics — only if you accept
Used to understand which pages are read, how people arrive, and where they give up. We look at this in aggregate; we are not interested in you as an individual.
| Set by | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*) | Distinguishes one visitor from another and measures pages, sessions and traffic sources. | Up to 2 years |
| Google Tag Manager | Loads the tags above. Sets no cookie of its own, but delivers the ones that do. | n/a |
Advertising — only if you accept
We run paid campaigns for ourselves as well as for clients. These measure whether an ad led to an enquiry, and may be used to show you our ads again elsewhere.
| Set by | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
| Meta Pixel (_fbp) | Attributes enquiries to Facebook and Instagram ads, and builds audiences. | Up to 3 months |
These are listed because the site is built to support them. At the time of writing some are not switched on, and none of them load for anyone who has not accepted. If that changes, this page changes with it.
Third parties we embed
Two services run inside pages here and set their own storage once you interact with them. The booking calendar on our book a call page is provided by Cal.com, and form submissions are delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms. Each has its own privacy policy and processes data on our instructions.
How to change your mind
Use the button near the top of this page. You can also clear site data for this domain in your browser settings, which has the same effect, or block cookies entirely in your browser — the site will still work.
Browser-level controls: look for Settings, then Privacy. In Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge the relevant section is usually called Cookies and site data.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because nothing optional loads without explicit consent, this site is already compliant with a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal by default. We do not sell personal information in the sense used by California law.
Questions
Email itssumarfarooq@gmail.com and a person will answer. How we handle the information itself, rather than the storage mechanism, is covered in our privacy policy.
